چکیده
This study was designed to determine the effects of five different salinity levels (25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 ppt) on survival rate Farfantepenaeus aztecus larvae from Nauplius5 post-larvae1 (N5-PL1). For this purpose, 50 that reached N5 stage were stocked in 2-L round bottom glass flasks replications grown up PL1 at 27.6±0.4°C. At end study, as highest (44.00±23.15) protozoal stages obtained 35 ppt levels, lowest 14.00±4.89) found 25 (P<0.05). The rates M1 (24.40±19.51), 30 (23.20±18.14) ppt, respectively. statistically those results show for first time optimum level is range 30-40 larval culture North-eastern Mediterranean population brown shrimp West Atlantic natural origin.

The effect of salinity in survival, growth and osmotic capacity of juvenile Farfantepenaeus brasiliensis was determined. Survival was not affected by salinities from 15 to 35‰ during 96 h exposure periods. Shrimps exposed to 5 and 10‰ were noticeably affected by salinity with a survival of 0 and 48% after 96 h, respectively. Lethal salinity for 50% of the individuals in 96 h 21 (LS , 96 h) at 2...
